Who We Serve

RCAC's services are generally available to communities with populations of 50,000 or fewer – including tribal communities. RCAC is the western RCAP (Rural Community Assistance Partnership). Most RCAC's services are available in our 15-state region.

RCAC also serves the Republic of the Marshall Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Republic of Palau, the Territory of Guam, and the Commonwealth of the Northern Marianas.

RCAC's programs also target Native Americans.

The Yoneo Ono Award

The Yoneo Ono award is the namesake of Yoneo Ono, one of RCAC’s founding fathers. During his lifetime, Ono worked tirelessly for rural development. For his lifelong commitment, RCAC honored Ono with an award when he retired from the RCAC board in 1984. Since then, the RCAC Board of Directors has presented the award to 28 other outstanding volunteers from 12 western states that also have made immense contributions to rural development.
