SHARES Tidbits: Have you been disconnected?
By Nancy Jacobsen, RCAC rural development specialist
U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Rural Development recently transferred the security of SHARES’ access. In the transfer process, some grantees lost their connections to SHARES.
The typical problem is that the grantee is able to log into the first gateway for accessing SHARES, which is the eAuthentication log-in. At the next step, the log in to SHARES itself, they receive a message stating their access to SHARES has been “disconnected.” If you receive this message while logging into SHARES, either call me at 406/579-5202 or e-mail me at njacobsen@rcac.org. When you contact me, I will need the following:
1.
Your primary contact person’s name (The person who does your SHARES data inputting and that person’s e-mail address).
2.
Your company’s SHARES log in and password.
When you have contacted me and provided the above information, the access will be reinstated, typically just as soon as I e-mail the information to USDA Rural Development. You will receive an e-mail confirmation once the connection is re-established.
If you need any further assistance or simply have a SHARES’ related question, please call or e-mail me.
