Nonprofits who want to find grant money may want to head to the 2011 Rural Policy Forum "Linking Rural Arizona to Grantmakers."
Hoping to bring together nonprofits and grant-making organizations, the Arizona Rural Development Council (AZRDC) is spreading the word about the 2011 Rural Policy Forum "Linking Rural Arizona to Grantmakers," which will be held August 11 and 12 in Phoenix.
This year will be the fifth policy forum to be held by the AZRDC. Officials with the group hold the event each year to allow a forum for rural nonprofits to offer proposals to representatives from grant-making groups. However, this year's conference will also feature discussions about the current state of nonprofit organizations in the region.
A special presentation will be made by Arizona State University's Center for Philanthropy & Nonprofit Innovation, which will speak about a leadership development training module titled "Sustainability and Principles of Effectiveness for Nonprofit Organizations."
Groups that plan to attend the forum must take part in one of five pre-conference workshops to be held in July and August throughout the state.
The AZRDC is one of 28 councils across the U.S. to join Partners for Rural America, the nonprofit group run by the National Rural Development Partnership.
