Land management in Idaho was a topic discussed by attendees of the Wild Idaho! Conference sponsored by the Idaho Conservation League.

Speaking at the Wild Idaho! Conference, sponsored by the Idaho Conservation League (ICL), Senator Mike Crapo discussed a variety of topics regarding the state of Idaho's public lands management.

The Senator stated that progress with land management and conservation of all regional natural resources, including water, needs to be a top priority.

"Collaboration is really what we must move to, even more so now than ever," Crapo said, according to the news station KMVT. "It is the way we will solve not only our land management problems and our conservation issues, but frankly, it's the way we'll solve many of the other issues that are facing this country."

ICL executive director Rick Johnson told the station the main issues relating to land and water reside in Clearwater County in northern Idaho. He added that the state should learn from past mistakes with management and conservation to ensure they don't make them again.

The Wild Idaho! Conference has been held annually since 1986.
