RCAC's Fred Warren received a plaque in recognition of his service to Arizona citizens at a recent award ceremony

Fred Warren receives special recognition

The Rural Water Infrastructure Committee (RWIC) of Arizona recently recognized RCAC’s rural development specialist Fred Warren for 15 years as one of RWIC’s founding members and honored his “relentless dedication and commitment to improving water quality” for rural Arizona citizens.

RWIC, a partnership of funding organizations and technical assistance providers, is a “One Stop” resource for small water and wastewater systems in Arizona. Warren has provided management and technical assistance to RWIC since its inception and has been instrumental in its continued success.

Warren, who has been with RCAC for 15 years, retired on February 28th as a full-time employee. He will continue to work with RWIC as a private consultant and technical assistance provider. He also will continue to work with RCAC as a part-time subcontractor to complete a U.S. Department of Agriculture Solid Waste Biodegeneration project in Somerton, Arizona.

Linda Martinez, Steve Langstaff and Ellen Drew will represent RCAC and continue to work with RWIC when Warren fully retires.
