Section 502 money available for loans

$347 million in 502 direct funds is available through the continuing resolution. States should use their allocation first before accessing the National Reserve for Self-Help loans.

USDA Rural Development’s Customer Service Center in St Louis, MO reminds borrowers who need to contact the agency to use the following numbers: 

  • Please provide customers and third party callers who have general account questions with the Customer Service number for assistance at (800) 414-1226.
  • Customers who are delinquent, or may require counseling regarding servicing options, should be referred to the Collections Section for assistance at (800) 793-8861.

SHOPTalk 2013: INNOVATING AND STAYING STRONG

March 13– 14, 2013 — in Seattle, Washington

Community Frameworks, an affordable housing developer, producer, and Self-Help Homeownership Opportunity Program (SHOP) grantee based in Bremerton and Spokane, Washington, is hosting a conference for its Washington, Oregon, Idaho and Montana affiliates. The theme of SHOPTalk 2013 is INNOVATING AND STAYING STRONG and will include presenters and panel discussions on topics ranging from compliance, deal makers and breakers, counseling and education, affordable housing rehab, marketing and messaging, mastering Energy Star and green building techniques, construction bookkeeping, manufactured and modular housing, financing strategies, organizational leadership and sustainability, partnerships for success, and others.
