USDA Rural Development launches new resource

Reprinted with permission from Washington State Rural Developments, Volume 1, Issue 7, September 2012

A new resource is available on the Rural Development website that outlines spending levels in each state for 21 of USDA Rural Development’s major (i.e., major in dollar terms) programs.

The site also provides the number of projects created in each state from 2009 to 2011 for the selected programs with examples of USDA Rural Development’s most outstanding success stories and innovative projects that have been initiated across the country from 2009 to 2011.

This is a resource that shows the exciting things that Washington State is doing in comparison to other states and what the program areas have been accomplishing.

The collection of 2009-2011 state-by-state program accomplishments and success stories is at: http://www.rurdev.usda.gov.
