CALHFA AWARDED NEARLY $3.2 MILLION TO PROVIDE COUNSELING FOR STRUGGLING HOMEOWNERS

SACRAMENTO – The California Housing Finance Agency (CalHFA) today announced that it will receive nearly $3.2 million to provide counseling to homeowners struggling to avoid foreclosure from a new federal grant.

The California Housing Finance Agency and HUD-approved counseling groups, in partnership with the Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC), were awarded the $3.18 million grant as part of a federal program to help homeowners avoid foreclosures.
