Robert Longman named as RCAC's new credit officer

West Sacramento, Calif. — Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) has named Robert Longman as its new credit officer for its $50 million loan fund. RCACís loan fund offers a variety of low-interest loan products designed to help small communities and tribal governments finance affordable housing, water, waste water and community facility projects. Eligible borrowers to the RCAC loan fund include rural nonprofit organizations and local governments.

More affordable housing coming to Corning

West Sacramento, Calif. — The promise of nearly two-dozen new, affordable self-help homes in Corning moved closer to reality recently thanks to a $320,000 Rural Community Assistance Corporation (RCAC) loan to local nonprofit organization, Self-Help Home Improvement Project (SHHIP).

Alaska-style home school

West Sacramento, Calif. — A new project launched by the Tanacross Village Council (TVC) and located on the grounds of the “Old Tok School” is a home school of a decidedly different type. This new school is not about creating an educational experience at home, but rather creating homes via a unique educational experience.
