To my children and grandchildren, I affectionately dedicate this summary of my life's events from my earliest recollections.
The early settlement of Cherokee County, Kansas, is also outlined and my prove of interest to descendants of those pioneers who shared with us the trials and burdens, and also the great pleasure of earning a home and building a community in a new land.
