KANSAS COLLECTION BOOKS
SOME OF THE RHYMES OF IRONQUILL.

1884.

O'er sunny Kansas
Some commercial Cadmus,
     In days unknown,
     The teeth of golden dragons must
          have sown;
For when the prairies
Feel the breath of summer,
     The trowels ring,
     And from the soil the burnished
          cities spring.

Divider line of thick olive-green leaves
